Sentai's Mawaru Penguindrum subs are almost a perfect readout of the dub script, so basically you're hearing the Japanese audio and reading closed-captioning for the dub. Sometimes that works -- Gurren Lagann's subs are a slightly more faithful version of the dub script, and that didn't bother me -- but Penguindrum's dub script is super bad. Pretty much any fansub is better, and if you've already watch the show that way, you're probably in for a letdown.
